Bay of Fundy Marine Resource Centre
Our Mission
The Bay of Fundy Marine Resource Centre (MRC) is a community-based institution, offering services, facilities and technical support relating to all aspects of the Bay of Fundy’s marine economies and eco-systems.
In the spring of 1999, the MRC became fully operational. The MRC's facilities, located in Cornwallis Park, Annapolis County, include training facilities, a walk-in information and referral centre with on-line access to information on a wide range of marine related topics, training classroom, GIS mapping centre (Coastal Marine Resource Mapping Project), meeting rooms, and other facilities.
The Bay of Fundy Marine Resource Centre is self-sustaining through various projects and rental incomes from its offices, lab and classroom.
Our Services
The MRC offers support to achieve viable and sustainable coastal communities in this region baseon innovation, learning and community stewardship of natural resources.

Through these collaborative efforts our communities develop skills for defining problems, establishing goals, and working cooperatively to gather information in systematic ways from their own perspectives. The MRC closely works with First Nations, Women’s Groups, Community development organizations, Universities, conservation groups, agencies and departments of all levels of government, rural networks, and other resource centres around the Gulf of Maine, through Saltwater Network.
